Seed A Legacy Program

Free custom NextGen pollinator seed mixes (two mixes per project, one for bees and one for butterflies) plus a site-specific seed plan and biologist guidance for landowners and land managers establishing 2+ acres of new pollinator habitat in 14 Midwest/Plains states; projects over 25 acres get seed at a reduced rate. Participants prepare, plant and manage the habitat for at least 5 years.

Own or manage at least two acres of private, public or corporate land in IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, PA, SD or WI; new projects on fully prepared sites only (no interseeding existing habitat); commit to managing habitat for at least 5 years.

Seed free for 2-25 acres; reduced rate above 25 acres; participant covers site prep, planting and management; 5-year management commitment.

Published amounts: 'We offer our high-quality seed mixes free for projects 2-25 acres' ; 'Projects from 2–25 acres receive seed at no cost. Larger projects receive seed at a reduced rate, depending on acreage.'
