Grants of up to $5,000 to existing Kansas City-metro growers to expand food-production capacity — land access, expansion equipment, efficiency and infrastructure (greenhouses, irrigation, cold storage), education/training, and farmer-service ventures (community greenhouses, equipment-rental co-ops). Administered by Cultivate KC jointly with KC Black Urban Growers, funded by the USDA Farm Service Agency and a T.I.M.E. Inc. cooperative agreement.
Eligibility
Individual farmers or small producer groups (growing for sale or community benefit), including nonprofits or fiscally-sponsored organizations, located in eight KC-metro counties — Missouri: Clay, Cass, Jackson, Platte; Kansas: Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami, Wyandotte.
