Low-Dust Nut Harvester Replacement Program

Funds 75% of the cost (to $250,000/unit) of replacing conventional almond/walnut harvesters or sweepers with certified low-dust harvesting equipment; shaker/sweeper combos have no cap; up to five units per applicant. Can be packaged with the Tractor Replacement Program.

PTO-driven or self-propelled nut harvesters; existing sweepers may be replaced with shaker/sweeper combination units; PTO harvesters must be pulled by a Tier 4 Final tractor; must buy an approved low-dust certified harvester from the Eligible Equipment List; existing self-propelled harvester must be Tier 0/1/2, in-use and operable; replacement <500 hours if self-propelled; equipment domiciled and operated 100% within SJVAPCD.

75% of eligible equipment costs; not a co-funding program; old equipment destroyed via certified off-road dismantler.

Published amounts: 'Incentive amounts have been established at 75% of eligible equipment costs, up to a maximum of $250,000 per unit. Eligible Shaker/Sweeper Combination units are not subject to a maximum incentive. Funding limited to a maximum of five pieces of equipment per applicant.'
