Transform Ag (a USDA Advancing Markets for Producers initiative) is actively enrolling farmers. To learn more about the project and whether your farm might benefit from one of the funding incentives, submit your information through the Interested Farmer form: https://www.transformf2c.com/interestedfarmer

## Food-Grade Soy Program Overview

**The TransformF2C Project offers two incentives to growers producing and marketing climate-smart soybeans. Eligible acres must be enrolled in the Marketing Incentive to be eligible for the Practice Implementation Incentive. **

****

What is a Climate-Smart Soybean?

Climate-Smart Soybeans are soybeans that are grown with an in-field practice that helps build soil health, sequesters carbon, and/or reduces greenhouse gas emissions, such as cover crops, reduced till or no-till, conservation crop rotation, or nutrient management.

What is a Climate-Smart Commodity (CSC) Processor?

A CSC Processor is one of the buyers contracted by the TransformF2C Project to buy, process, and market the climate-smart soybeans to develop localized market opportunities and strengthen supply chains traceability for climate-smart commodities.

What are the Benefits of Growing Climate-Smart Soybeans for Me and My Farm?

- **Improved crop resilience:** Climate-smart crop management may help crops adapt to changing climate conditions and increase agricultural productivity.

- **Improved soil health:** Healthy soil may have less erosion, preserve land fertility, and conserves water supply.

- **Reduced greenhouse gas emissions**: Climate-smart agriculture may reduce or eliminate greenhouse gas emissions.

- **Increased farmer profits:** Climate-smart agriculture may increase productivity and incentives are designed to support higher incomes for farmers.

No per-acre incentive rate, payment cap, or cost-share percentage is published for producers on the project's own pages. The site (now branded "Transform Ag, a USDA Advancing Markets for Producers initiative") describes two stacked incentives for climate-smart/traceable soybeans — a Marketing Incentive and a Practice Implementation Incentive, where "Eligible acres must be enrolled in the Marketing Incentive to be eligible for the Practice Implementation Incentive" — but attaches no dollar figures to either. The Farmer's Corner says only "We're paying farmers top dollar for data."

The only figures the project publishes are project-level totals, not what any one farm receives:
- "$70.35M in federal support"
- "69% invested in incentives to farmers ($48.5M)"
- "$12.52M in additional committed partner contributions"
- "$7M in processor investments to support processing, farmer support and market development"

One hard non-financial condition is published: "Enrolled acres for the soybean supply chain project must be located within 500 miles of an eligible traceable processor in specific states." Enrollment tracks are dairy manure management, food-grade soy, feed-grade soybean, and food-grade oat production. To learn your actual rate you have to go through the Interested Farmer intake and talk to the project team.
