Kentucky Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP)

The Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) is a USDA program that helps the Kentucky Department of Agriculture fund projects that enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in the state and support specialty crop growers through marketing, education, and research.


Eligibility

Privately owned companies, small business owners, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, and quasi-government entities (including public universities) are eligible to apply. Applicants must reside in Kentucky, or their business or educational affiliation must be in Kentucky. The KDA will not award grant funds for projects that solely benefit a particular commercial product or provide profit to a single organization, institution, or individual.
