The overall goal of the Resilient Food System Infrastructure Program (RFSI) is to create more and better processing options for local and regional producers across specialty crops, dairy, grain (for food), aquaculture, and other sectors, while addressing gaps in pandemic assistance and Food Systems Transformation programs. FDACS administers it as a pass-through of USDA-AMS RFSI funds.
Eligibility
The program targets producers and agribusiness entities operating in the middle of the agricultural supply chain across the specified sectors (excluding meat and poultry).
