The mission of the National Grazing Lands Coalition is to deliver assistance to grazing land stewards to foster the benefits grazing lands provide to family farms, ranches, local communities and all of society.
The producers who steward America’s grazing lands maintain a constant balance between two types of work. There’s the work of operating a farm or ranch: raising livestock, managing forage, and reading the land through the seasons. Then, there’s the work of making that operation profitable so it can be passed down to the next generation. Deciding when to apply for funding, for example, or tracking what each calf costs to raise.
For decades, the National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) has helped American producers manage, conserve, and improve our grazing lands in economically and ecologically sound ways. They’ve worked with operations across the country to provide technical assistance, funding, and education programs. Today, we’re excited to announce that Ambrook is partnering with NatGLC to connect producers with the financial tools and resources they need to turn land stewardship into profitability they can measure.
Our partnership: Connecting the numbers to the land

We’re committed to that mission, but we also know that software is only part of the solution. Over the last six years, our team has noticed a gap, not only in the tools available to producers, but also in the resources available for our ag customers to learn about resilient financial and agronomic practices. We wanted to find a way to share more of those resources with operators across the country, and that is how we found NatGLC.
Through a nationwide network of coalitions and member organizations, NatGLC helps farmers and ranchers implement land management practices that improve the health of our grazing lands. Local coalitions offer hands-on training sessions, host grazing schools, and connect ranchers to funding that supports their operations for generations to come. This work ensures that producers remain on the land, and our communities and wildlife thrive.
Together, Ambrook and NatGLC will help producers with both parts of growing a resilient operation: strategies for land stewardship and techniques for financial management. Over the coming year, we’ll share co-created resources and events on topics that include how to track expenses for grant reporting and how to see the cost of production across enterprises. We’re excited to support operators as they care for our grazing lands and make it profitable for them in the process.

Grazing the Heartland Bus Tour is a multi-stop bus tour this September, visiting operations across South Dakota, Nebraska, and Minnesota. We’re looking forward to joining the coalitions on a few of their stops and learning about the new grazing techniques producers are implementing.
Legacy Landscapes gives program participants technical and financial support to improve their grazing lands and reach new markets. We’ll partner with NatGLC to share educational resources on how participants can effectively track grant funding in the program.
Grazing schools and courses teach producers practical skills like how to plan grazing, measure forage, and benchmark profitability. Ambrook’s team will join select courses to share financial management strategies with producers.
