Wyoming Access Yes Program (Walk-In and Hunter Management Areas)

Wyoming Game and Fish Department

Wyoming Game and Fish pays private landowners who open their land or water to public hunting or fishing through Access Yes. Landowners enroll in one or more of three options: Hunter Management Areas (hunters need a permission slip), Walk-In Hunting Areas, or Walk-In Fishing Areas. Payment is based on enrolled acres or stream miles, and landowners decide which species, dates and areas are open.

Eligibility

  • Private landowners (and state land lessees) in Wyoming willing to allow public hunting and/or fishing access

  • Landowner and Department agree on species, areas, dates and rules
