Vermont Farm to School Service Provider Grant

The Farm to School Service Provider Grant is designed for non-profit organizations that will help several schools or early childhood programs start or expand their farm to school programs. It is intended to grow the support system for schools and early childhood programs, at regional and statewide levels, so that farm to school support services are more accessible across the state. Support services include, but are not limited to, local procurement technical assistance, meal program technical assistance, curriculum integration technical assistance, school gardens technical assistance, nutrition education technical assistance, farm to school coaching services, trainings, workshops, professional development, and resource development. Approximately $150,000 is available through this competitive funding opportunity in FY27; the minimum award is $10,000 and the maximum award is $40,000, and grantees have up to 18 months to complete projects. No matching funds are required. The program was authorized by the Rozo McLaughlin Farm-to-School Program Act of 2006 (6 V.S.A. § 4721).

Applications are currently closed and will re-open in Winter 2027. Applications are submitted through the Agency's WebGrants system using the Agency's Application Guide.
