Pilot incentive for Valley dairies and other CAFOs to convert diesel-powered feed mixing and delivery to electric stationary mixing systems, paying 65% of eligible equipment and infrastructure costs (electric mixers required; conveyors, concrete, electrical infrastructure, feed pushers) plus tractor and truck replacement/reduction components. First come, first served by application-complete date.


Eligibility

Dairies and other confined animal facility operations (CAFOs) currently using diesel-powered equipment for feeding; every project must eliminate some diesel equipment; back-up generators ineligible; no work or purchases before executed contract.

Terms

65% incentive; reimbursement per Electric Dairy Payment Procedures; old equipment destroyed by certified dismantler.

Published amounts: 65% of the total cost of eligible equipment and infrastructure, up to a maximum cost effectiveness of $30,000 per ton of emissions reduced; three components (infrastructure/electric equipment, off-road mobile tractors, on-road trucks).

Submit Forms A (applicant), B (off-road equipment), C (on-road truck), D (new mobile equipment), E (infrastructure/electric equipment) and Form W-9; District strongly encourages a pre-application meeting at (559) 230-5800.
