
Agricultural Irrigation Pump Engine Repower Program
Pays 85% of eligible cost to replace an existing 25 HP+ agricultural irrigation pump engine with a new cleaner diesel engine or an electric motor (electric option also covers 50% of utility line-extension fees). Applicant must have an executed District contract before purchasing; funding is currently available.
Eligibility
Existing engine must comply with District Rule 4702 and ARB stationary/portable diesel ATCMs; engine/motor must operate 75% of annual hours within SJVAPCD; existing engine rated greater than 25 HP; stationary or transportable off-road industrial engine.
Terms
85% of eligible costs (plus 50% of line extension for electric); not a rebate—contract required before purchase; old engine to certified dismantler; reimbursement on claim.
Published amounts: Diesel to Diesel repower (25 HP+): 85% of eligible costs. Diesel/NG/Propane to Electric motor: 85% + 50% of line extension fees (if applicable). 'The maximum incentive is not to exceed 85% of eligible costs' and is calculated up to the cost-effectiveness limit.
