WomensNet launched the Amber Grant in 1998 to honor the&#x2004;memory of an ambitious young woman who died at the age of 19, before she could realize her entrepreneurial aspirations. Today, these grants help women like you fulfill the dreams that Amber could not.

Every month, WomensNet judges award one or more **Amber Grants of $10,000 each**. Then, at the end of the year, one of those grant recipients is selected to receive the **$25,000 Amber Grant**.

Businesses should be at least 50% women-owned for consideration. The business must be based in either the U.S. or Canada. And the applicant must be a minimum of 18 years old.

- There is a $15 application fee for each application. 
- Since the grants run on a month-to-month basis, applications for the $10,000 Amber Grant do not roll forward. The exception is if your business falls into any of WomensNet's business-specific categories. Your application will be considered for each of those categories — which means you can be eligible for multiple opportunities to win a grant with one application. 
- The WomensNet team reviews/evaluates grant applications daily and selects 5 monthly finalists.  Finalists are announced by the 15th of the month to follow, and the winner is announced by the 23rd of that month.
