Social Justice Fund NW

The Emerging Justice Fund (EJF), from Social Justice Fund NW, provides one-year grants of $10,000 to organizations that meet SJF's community-organizing framework and prioritize communities underrepresented in traditional grantmaking, across the Northwest.



Applicants must be nonprofit organizations, tribal agencies, or groups sponsored by a nonprofit organization or tribal agency (or fiscally sponsored by 501(c)(3)/501(c)(4) organizations or tribal governments/agencies). SJF does not fund individuals — you must be an organized group — and does not fund direct services unless connected to community organizing work. Organizations can receive only one EJF award per calendar year.

A lump sum of money for a specific purpose that does not need to be paid back.

Giving Project Grants are Social Justice Fund NW's core recurring participatory-model general-operating grants, awarded through thematic cycles to grassroots organizations engaged in community organizing across the Northwest.



Eligible applicants are grassroots nonprofit organizations (not individuals) doing community-organizing work in Social Justice Fund NW's five-state region (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming).

Grants are general operating support awarded through Social Justice Fund's participatory Giving Project model, on thematic cycles.

Social Justice Fund NW offers recurring $1,000 sponsorships to organizations across the Northwest, supporting events and efforts aligned with its community-organizing and social-justice mission.

Marketing

Sponsorships are $1,000, awarded on a rolling basis.
