Low Carbon&#x2004;Technologies' Advancing Markets for Producers (AMP) grant program opens new doors for beef producers by connecting verified conservation outcomes with meaningful, value-added market opportunities. Guided by a life cycle assessment (LCA) and a USDA-backed verification process, AMP supports profitable, resilient operations while positioning producers to meet the evolving demands of today's beef markets.


The USDA AMP grant program is a nationwide initiative designed to help farmers and ranchers access new, value-added market opportunities while supporting sound conservation practices. Launched in 2025 and rebranded from the Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities initiative, AMP directs more than $3 billion into projects delivering direct benefits to agricultural producers.


As a recipient of the AMP grant, LCT is expanding market access for beef producers by creating verified, scalable pathways into value-added markets that reward sustainability and production outcomes. Cattle are certified under LCT's USDA Process Verified Program (PVP) standards, which serve as the foundation for measuring, documenting, and validating greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions and enable participation in premium-generating market opportunities, including carbon-credit markets.

Eligible operations generally include cattle feeders and dairies that retain ownership through the finishing phase. Both conventional beef and beef-on-dairy cattle can be enrolled. Eligible producers can participate in value-based marketing programs and may access equity financing options designed to help retain ownership and capture downstream value.
