Florida Block Grant Disaster Relief Program

The Florida Block Grant Disaster Relief Program, developed by FDACS in partnership with USDA, provides financial support to help agricultural producers rebuild, restore operations, and return to full production after hurricane losses.

Eligible applicants are agricultural producers whose operations experienced damage or loss during the 2023 or 2024 hurricane seasons.

The program covers: Infrastructure — restoration, repair, or replacement of agricultural structures like greenhouses, barns, irrigation systems, and livestock shelters; Market Loss — compensation for specialty crop producers (strawberries, watermelons, blueberries, tomatoes, snap beans, cucumbers, bell peppers, sweet corn); Citrus — economic loss recovery, grove damage, replanting, and infrastructure restoration; and Timber — debris removal, cleanup, and reforestation for landowners with at least 10 contiguous storm-damaged acres. The page states the program will deliver more than $600 million.
