The Climate Smart Farming: Agriculture and Forestry Grant, established under Connecticut Public Act 22-118, allocated approximately $7 million to increase the number of farmers implementing climate-smart agriculture and forestry production and practices in Connecticut.


Eligibility

Connecticut farms, nonprofits, land trusts, conservation councils, and university programs. Several awardees administer sub-grant programs, so both direct and indirect (sub-grantee) recipients were served.

Fiscal Year 2023 round. The application deadline was January 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM. In March 2023, CT DoAg awarded nearly $7 million to 12 entities. No further grant awards are available at this time.
