Resource Conservation District (RCD) Financial Assistance Program
Through the RCD Financial Assistance Program, the California Department of Conservation provides financial assistance, information, and technical support to California's Resource Conservation Districts (RCDs) in their mission to develop a land-stewardship ethic that promotes long-term sustainability of the state's natural resources.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are California Resource Conservation Districts. Eligible projects to increase RCD capacity include fundraising, planning, partnership development, community education and outreach, and improving operational efficiency.
Terms
Grants build RCD capacity. In one funding round the Department received 12 applications requesting $263,835 total, and awarded $135,000 available to seven applicants.
