Arkansas Stream Habitat Program

AGFC's Stream Habitat Program helps private landowners plan and fund restoration of eroding streambanks and in-stream habitat, including navigating permits. AGFC's own contribution comes from Stream Team Program Funds, capped at $5,000 or 25% of total project cost, whichever comes first; coordinators also help stack other sources such as NRCS EQIP and USFWS programs. AGFC publishes no application form or schedule; contact a stream habitat coordinator to start a project.

• Projects usually need Clean Water Act 401/404 permits (applicant's responsibility)

AGFC share capped at $5,000 or 25% of actual total project cost; landowner contribution can be cash or in-kind (equipment, labor, fencing, tree planting).

Published amounts: Stream Team Program Funds. These funds can be used for any portion of the project. It cannot exceed $5,000 or 25% of the actual total cost of the project, whichever comes first.
