Arizona Landowner Relations Program

Arizona Game and Fish Department

AZGFD's Landowner Relations Program partners with private landowners and agricultural producers on habitat projects that help both the ranch and wildlife, and that secure public recreational access. It draws on state Heritage (IIAPM) money, Pittman-Robertson, the Big Game Donation Fund and federal/ADEQ grants, and favors shovel-ready projects that benefit several wildlife species. Applications open each year on July 10 and are reviewed until the money is committed. Since 2017 the combined Landowner Relations and Habitat Enhancement Program has completed more than 200 habitat projects.
