We’ve been listening to your ideas and feedback to make invoicing and bill pay work better for you. Today, we’re sharing the early results of this input and inviting you to weigh in on major improvements coming soon!

Latest launches to your app

Navigate Bills and Invoices more easily

We renamed Payables to Bills and Receivables to Invoices so it’s more obvious to your team which direction the payment goes. These are now located within the Payments tab.

Match more bills or invoices to a payment

Many farms pay down the balance for several bills with the same payment. Now, you can match multiple bills or invoices to that single payment and complete items in your bills list.

Invoice your enterprises internally

For those of you using bills and invoices to keep your diversified enterprises organized, you can now match them with internal transfers as the payment.

Quality of life improvements

  • Create in our new interface with more room for your data.

  • Match a new check or cash payment to an invoice in a single step.

  • Understand which invoice / bill payments are pending, such as undeposited checks or ACH expected payments that are still processing.

  • View the account that each matched payment is from.

  • Printed checks now show the bill’s line items.

  • Viewing an invoice from the ledger will open a side panel instead of redirecting to a new page.

  • Deposit check payments right from your phone into your Ambrook Wallet. More on this in our next update.

What we’re working on next

This is where we’d love your feedback. Shoot us an email or give us a call to co-design with our team!

Preset items

Import and maintain your price list in Ambrook, then add preset items for speedy invoice creation. Item variants will help you set prices and tags for different product subtypes, units, or customers. Wholesalers and utility operators can make pricing and rates consistent across their invoices.

Share your feedback:

  • Do you use a price list? Let us know so we can make sure your data is supported and set this up for you!

  • When do you modify items or their prices?

Better emails and PDFs

We know that emailing customers or generating invoice PDFs takes too many steps today. We’re building new tooling that will enable you to download PDFs at any time, CC yourself or additional recipients, set your own Invoice ID, show more line item info, customize what entity is displayed, and include attachments.

Share your feedback:

  • What is currently missing from the PDFs we generate for you?

  • What else would you like to improve for invoicing customers via email?

Check logging and clearing

In the future, you’ll be able to record checks from your Ledger and other places around the app, not just within a bill or invoice. We’re also introducing a dedicated check clearing option that is separate from invoice matching.

Share your feedback:

  • When do you record a check versus wait for the deposit to show?

Activity timelines

We’re beginning to highlight events related to your bills and invoices, like “created,” “sent,” and “matched.” These will include the when and who of each activity, so you can be confident where each bill or invoice stands.

Share your feedback:

  • What are the most important events you look for when managing an invoice or bill?

  • Does your team have an approvals process for bills and invoices? Let’s brainstorm how we can incorporate these into the timeline!

Dedicated invoice creation types

We heard from you that the “Quick Import” panel is confusing. We’re working on new invoice / bill flows that are optimized for creating from scratch, scanning a file, or importing files in bulk.

Share your feedback:

  • What types of invoices or bills do you enter manually versus upload from a pre-existing source?

Beyond these, we’d love to discuss your wishlist for organizing bills and invoices. Talk to us about your other ideas!

Let us know what you think!
