In the season of spring cleaning, we’ve been hard at work tending to Invoicing & Bill Pay, so you can have the smoothest experience settling bills and getting paid.

When creating a new invoice or bill…

You can now Save as Draft. Create a new invoice or bill, add as much detail as you’d like, save as a Draft, and then return to it when you’re ready to add more detail or finalize it. And since Drafts don’t contribute to AR/AP, your books will continue to show only confirmed transactions.

Another change you may notice during creation is the ability to tag the whole invoice or bill with the same tags. This saves time when all the items require the same tags. Of course, if you need to tag items individually, you can easily switch modes.

To simplify the management side…

We’ve added Search and Filter to the Invoices tab to assist you in finding the invoices and bills you need to check up on. Customer details, vendor details, invoice details, and bill details are all searchable, so finding what you need is just a few keystrokes away.

Lastly, we’ve also introduced a few additional statuses to ensure you’re able to accurately track where an invoice or bill is in its lifecycle, so each time you sit down to pay or invoice, you know exactly what needs to happen next. The new statues are:

  • Mark as Sent: this invoice has been sent to a customer

  • Mark as Paid: this bill/invoice has been paid

  • Mark as Received: a payment for this invoice has been received

That’s what’s new in Invoicing today, but there’s lots more to come in the weeks ahead. If you need help with any of these features or have feedback for our team, please reach out to support@ambrook.com.
