The Black Farmer Fund Rapid Response Team exists to support Black farmers & food actors across the Northeast in emergency situations. This fund seeks to address acute emergencies to provide immediate restoration of an operation—not recurring expenses, rental assistance or start-up costs. BFF's intention is to provide direct financial support more quickly than traditional fundraising options.
Eligibility
Black farmers and food actors are eligible; including but not limited to farmers, ranchers, herbalists, caterers, producers, restaurant owners, etc.
Farmers in the following Northeastern states are eligible: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Jersey, and New York, Pennsylvania.
Terms
Eligible emergency situations include but are not limited to equipment breakdown, weather, loss of crops / animals, medical expenses, stolen or damaged supplies, etc.
