The DPO Advisory Board has issued an Invitation for Proposals for dairy and research promotion projects, as part of its $15 million checkoff fund. The invitation solicits proposals for marketing, promotion, and research projects that focus on increasing consumer demand for New York-produced fluid milk and dairy products and further ensuring dairy product safety.
Eligible applicants include non-profit entities, research institutions, and private businesses that are not affiliated with the DPO Advisory Board. Project proposals may not promote a specific brand or trade name.
Organizations that submit proposals are welcomed to also make an in-person presentation to the DPO Advisory Board. This meeting will be open to the public. Organizations are allotted time to present based on the amount of funding requested. The following is an example of how the time is allotted:
Up to $100,000 = 15 minutes presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A
Greater than $100,000 but less than $1,000,000 = 30 minutes presentation and 15 minutes Q&A
Greater than $1,000,000 but less than $5,000,000 = 45 minutes presentation and 20 minutes Q&A
Greater than $5,000,000, 1.5-hour presentation and 30 minutes Q&A If your proposal includes multiple projects, you are encouraged to list each project separately.
