In keeping with the mission to empower women in agriculture through education, involvement, and action, the Kentucky Women in Agriculture organization offers a scholarship for women who are full-time students entering their junior year in college through graduate school. Scholarship applicants must demonstrate the degree they are seeking relates to agriculture, demonstrate need, and be enrolled as a full-time student.
Eligibility
- Be a female with residence in Kentucky. 2. Entering junior year through graduate school in a Kentucky school or affiliate veterinary school with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Must submit their college transcript to date.
Terms
The scholarship award will be $1,000 and will be paid to the applicant in one $500 increment each semester. Applications are judged on desire to work in agriculture (40 pts), financial need (30 pts), academic record (20 pts), and extra-curricular activities (10 pts).
