Marianne Messina started her journalism career at Metro Silicon Valley. Since then, her environmental journalism has appeared in Civil Eats, Mongabay, Pacific Standard (now Grist), Corporate Knights, Sierra Magazine, and many others. She writes from a solutions perspective – the Solutions Journalism Network features her work — and she’s drawn to topics with sustainability at the core. As an SEJ member, Messina is currently co-editor of SEJ Magazine‘s Freelance Files.
