Aleks Schaefer, PhD JD, is an Assistant Professor of International Markets, Trade, and Policy in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University. His research has been published in various academic journals, including the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy, and Food Policy. Aleks previously served on the faculty at Michigan State University and the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in England. He holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas.
