The farm serves Southwestern PA or is located within 100 miles of Pittsburgh, PA
Of the animals raised on the farm, most are raised for food marketed directly to consumers
Farmraiser Grant Program & Proposal Guidelines:
Be as detailed as possible in your proposal. Proposals that are lacking in detail are less likely to be chosen as finalists.
The project’s main purpose should be to improve the welfare of current and future livestock.
Funds will not be given to proposals that
Fund already completed projects
Pay for animal feed or more livestock
Impact one animal
Cover the cost of items that are not directly related to the animal welfare of current livestock
The project should not result in a significant increase in the value of the farm property (e.g.., large outbuildings).
The awardee of the Farmraiser Grant shall enter into a contract with the Ethical Farming Fund regarding the use of funds to complete the project. This shall include a preliminary visit to the farm before funds are made available.
The Ethical Farming Fund reserves the right to change these terms at any time.
